Call him a dreamer. Upon getting into photography in the early 1970s, Vito Palmisano wanted to work for National Geographic magazine.

Call him a realist. After attending a workshop with famed photographer Dick Durrance II, he realized such a career path would undoubtedly disrupt his close familial ties. He decided to pursue his love of photography doing advertising, corporate and commercial work. Since then, Palmisano has collaborated with a broad range of clients, including AA Airlines, Marriott Hotels, Target, Coca Cola, Miller Brewing, J Lohr Vineyards, Georgia Pacific, Gensler Engineering.

Call him a professional: The son of Italian immigrants, Palmisano has: climbed the antenna of John Hancock Tower; shot atop both the Verrenzano and Mackinac Bridges; hovered countless hours in helicopters and airplanes over active volcanoes on the Big Island; hiked through the vast National Parks of the United States…dived deep seeking shipwrecks hidden amongst coral reefs; and waited patiently countless minutes and hours for the right time and light to build his select stock collection.
