Karen Moskowitz, Seattle

Karen Moskowitz is a Seattle-based photographer.
Karen grew up living in Japan, Texas, and Indiana as a child, first falling in love with photography hanging out in her Dad’s cancer research lab helping the techs in the dark room. She studied photography at the Fine Arts Dept at Indian a University before moving to Seattle in the early 80’s. Always a huge music lover, she started taking pics of her many musician friends. Her quirky conceptual portraits soon had her shooting for assignments for Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Details, WIRED, and many other pubs.
She has shot for most record labels, various advertising, and entertainment clients. Known for her ability to create a concept and mood around a personality, her list of subjects is diverse.
Karen lives with her music producer husband, Michael Cozzi in their loft on Capital Hilll in Seattle. Awards include: The New York Art Directors Club, Print Magazine Annual, and The Seattle Design Association.
